Cherry Tree Concerto
Concerto: a composition for one or more principal instruments, with orchestral accompaniment.
This was actually inspired by an Easter picture I saw, but it took me about 6 months to finish it.
If you were to lie down on the ground under the cherry tree you would see April Showers.

Purple Jubilee
I saw a picture with purple tulips in the sunlight and wanted to create something like it in Vue. There are lots of tulips planted in my yard, but because they were planted in the shade, they rarely bloom. Tulips like lots of sunshine!

Resurgam
“Resurgam” is Latin for “I shall rise again” - an good inscription for a gravestone, especially in the spring. It seemed appropriate to combine the symbols for death, remembrance, and resurrection.

Just playing with flowers and depth of field in Vue.

Canticle of the Sun
This design is in the Art Deco style popular in the early 1900s. I came across a lot of stained-glass designs in my researches, so I decided to try one with the popular sun motif. I had fun picking textures from various Apophysis and Xaos renders, some of which have been sitting on my computer for months or even years. There are bits of Eyes of the Storms, Waltz of the Snowflakes, and Chaos Tie-Dyed in there, as well as others that have never seen the light of day.

Roses on Raindrops
For this image I was figuring how to get depth of field in Vue.

Grove of Living Gems
“‘Down there,’ said Golg, ‘I could show you real gold, real silver, real diamonds.’
“‘Bosh!’ said Jill rudely. ‘As if we didn't know that we're below the deepest mines even here.’
“‘Yes,’ said Golg. ‘I have heard of those little scratches in the crust that you Topdwellers call mines. But that's where you get dead gold, dead silver, dead gems. Down in Bism we have them alive and growing. There I'll pick you bunches of rubies that you can eat and squeeze you a cup full of diamond-juice. You won't care much about fingering the cold, dead treasures of your shallow mines after you have tasted the live ones of Bism.’”

Shy Daisies
Can you see them peering quizzically at you?
I like to get as much use as I can out of good fractal designs, so I used Chaos Tie-Dyed for the background and flower textures.

Clouds Go Sailing By
One of my earlist landscapes made in Vue. I originally made this picture for Mother's Day. It's the kind of solitary, quiet place I would love to relax. This has sometimes been mistaken for a fall picture in spite of the flowers and green grass, but it's supposed to be a Japanese maple, which has red or burgundy leaves in the spring.
I made three seasonal variations of this scene,
Clear Autumn Day
Winter's Chill
