A Winter Night's Dream
What could be more peaceful and refreshing than a quiet winter sunset?
This is my digital artwork, not a photograph.

Cherry Tree Concerto
Concerto: a composition for one or more principal instruments, with orchestral accompaniment.
This was actually inspired by an Easter picture I saw, but it took me about 6 months to finish it.
If you were to lie down on the ground under the cherry tree you would see April Showers.

Silent Light
This is a winter version of Falling Light. I was particularly focusing on the colors and depth of the snow, inspired by a picture from a calendar - Long Forgotten by Michael Humphries.

Falling Light
A walk in the birch woods. I created this for an Autumn Colors 3D landscape contest. I used a different method of rendering the lighting which took longer to calculate (basically that's what 3D rendering does, the software calculates the light that would come from every point of the scene through the virtual camera lens), but I loved how warm and soft it made the scene.

Christmas in the Pines
This is a Christmas version of Wind in the Pines. It was inspired by a visit to my grandfather's timber farm, which is why the pines are in rows. It's almost like being out in the forest, just a little more orderly!

Wind in the Pines
I did this piece for the E-On Software 3D Environment Competition 2012. It was inspired by a visit to my grandfather's timber farm. I wanted to capture the cool blue mistiness of the woods on a cold morning.

Into the Old Forest
Frodo and his friends are leaving the Shire secretly by going west into the Old Forest, instead of north to the road. The Forest is reached through a break in the Hedge used to keep the unfriendly trees out of the Shire …
“It had walls of brick at the sides, which rose steadily, until suddenly they arched over and formed a tunnel that dived deep under the Hedge and came out in the hollow on the other side.
“It was dark and damp. At the far end it was closed by a gate of thick-set iron bars. On the far side was a faint path leading up on to the floor of the Forest; but it vanished as soon as it brought them under the trees.”
