Eternal Light
“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
… The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.”
Isaiah 60:1-3, 19-20

April Showers
When I was growing up in Japan the cherry blossoms would bloom just in time for my birthday in early April. It was a windy time of year, and there would often be showers of petals falling.
This is what you would see if you lay down on the ground under the cherry tree in my Cherry Tree Concerto scene.

Cherry Tree Concerto
Concerto: a composition for one or more principal instruments, with orchestral accompaniment.
This was actually inspired by an Easter picture I saw, but it took me about 6 months to finish it.
If you were to lie down on the ground under the cherry tree you would see April Showers.

Cornflower Blue
I had planted a couple packets of wildflower seeds in my window boxes, but the list of flowers only had the scientific names, so I didn't really know what I was planting. Well, now I know what cosmos is and that window boxes aren't the best place for it! But the cornflowers were my favorite. I didn't know how many different shades they were. This is not a photograph of my window boxes, but the cornflowers blooming there inspired me to make this virtual cornflower field in Vue.

Appalachian Buttercup
I found this buttercup buried in the grass on my grandfather's Christmas tree farm, off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Fancy Gap, Virginia, the same place as Appalachian Green and How the Grass Grows

On My Doorstep
I found these wildflowers blooming beside my doorstep several years ago. A bit of research showed that they were Violet Wood Sorrel. Because of the clover-like leaves it is sometimes considered to be the traditional Irish shamrock. There are several patches of them in my yard now, and I enjoy seeing them bloom every spring.
