This is the kind of still water I'd like to rest beside. I got the idea swinging in my hammock and looking at a red maple. For some reason both the red maples in my yard hang down in a “weeping” shape. But I don't have a pond in my yard for them to hang over - that part came from my imagination.

A fallen leaf reflects the tree it came from.

Instead of the leaf floating on top of the water, I wanted to try something different and show it from beneath. Created in Vue.

I find rainy days very calming …

This was part of a three-part color series I created back in 2011. The backgrounds are from fractals, put together in Paint Shop Pro.

This peaceful landscape was originally for a 3D Environment competition. I didn't win, but it was the first time I felt that I could make an image worth entering. The competition didn't allow for any postwork, but afterward I edited it to give a watercolor effect.

Can you see them peering quizzically at you?

I like to get as much use as I can out of good fractal designs, so I used Chaos Tie-Dyed for the background and flower textures.
