A Winter Night's Dream
What could be more peaceful and refreshing than a quiet winter sunset?
This is my digital artwork, not a photograph.

Canticle of the Sun
This design is in the Art Deco style popular in the early 1900s. I came across a lot of stained-glass designs in my researches, so I decided to try one with the popular sun motif. I had fun picking textures from various Apophysis and Xaos renders, some of which have been sitting on my computer for months or even years. There are bits of Eyes of the Storms, Waltz of the Snowflakes, and Chaos Tie-Dyed in there, as well as others that have never seen the light of day.

Sunset in Crystal
I made two 3D renders of this virtual chandelier model in Vue, this warm "sunset" version, and another with cool evening lighting that I called Twilight in Crystal.

Broken Bridge
How did the bridge break? Is he responsible? Can it be repaired - or is there another way over? Does he even really want to get to the other side? Is the sun rising or setting on the other side? This piece lends itself to many interpretations - and raises many questions.

First Light
This photograph of the morning sun shining through the trees was taken a few feet to the right of Fertility, but on a different morning. I didn't often have time in the mornings to look at the view, but I always enjoyed when I had a chance to watch the sunrise.

Fertility
When I lived in a basement apartment for a while, one advantage of being half underground was that the back “yard” sloped steeply enough that there was a sort of ravine between the rows of houses. Although there were signs of a volleyball net being there in the past, when I lived there it was too overgrown to get to. That was fine with me - I just liked the view! I took this photograph early one morning and edited it to give it a dream-like quality.

Easter Morning
“In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: and for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.”
